2nd visit Oct 19 2020:. Got Sheri. Just as good as Jeanette, but she picked on me more...which is a good thing! : 1st visit, Oct.18 2020: Jeanette and a clean restaurant. Jeanette and fast service. Jeanette and good food! My waitress, yes, it wasJeanette, stood out in this visit. I frequently stop at Denny's everywhere in the country. The quality and value at these stopsvary widely. This store; definitely in that upper third. The things you want... food that comes out hot, restaurant that is keptswept with no sticky tables, and a staff that is courteous are found here in Ripon. Jeanette is responsible for a lot of that inthis review...because I appreciate those who help road warriors feel like a regular when we drop in for perhaps even our firstvisit ever which it was for me . Stuff like that goes a long way in starting the day out right. I had the chorizo skillet. Gotpancakes instead of toast, and was made to feel welcomed in just sitting back and relaxing after the meal. I'm sure others herethat are just as Impressive but for me it was Jeanette today. Thank you Denny's!
I tried to place an order online through their website, but I found that it doesn't offer the full menu. I called to make a pick-up order, but they don't accept phone orders after 10 PM. The item I wanted is available on the full menu, but I can't order it online. I'm curious about what changes at 10 PM that makes phone orders unavailable. The staff member who answered the phone suggested I could come in to place a to-go order, saying it would only take a short time. However, after a long day at the hospital, I was hoping to make things easier for myself and avoid waiting by going inside. The policy about phone orders after 10 PM seems strange to me. I’ve decided to head to Jack in the Box instead.
I was asked to wait for someone to seat me, but after four minutes of being completely ignored, I decided to leave. Terrible experience! After driving for 11 hours, I ended up grabbing a slice of pizza for dinner instead. Thanks for your 'service,' Denny's, and I apologize for disturbing your lazy Sunday.
Amazing food! From placing the order over the phone to picking it up, the entire experience was outstanding!
My family and I used to dine at Denny's regularly because kids used to eat free. However, tonight our waiter charged us for the kids' meals, saying it was a recent policy change communicated by the manager, Shawn. Another waitress offered to correct the bill since we were unaware that the kids eat free deal now only applies on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Despite this, the original waiter insisted we pay. We've never had an issue before, but this experience has made us reconsider how often we visit. The restaurant was also quite empty, and I imagine they've lost more customers due to this. While I understand policy changes, we were very unhappy with how our waiter, Francesco, handled the situation.
