I am not going to lie when I says I was not a fan of Italian food till I came here . The first time I came here the waiter mentioned he had this appetizer called Burata , not going to lie when I saw my bill and saw the price of this .... A bit shocking but was the most amazing cheese I have ever had and have gotten over and over again . I have tried many pastas on the menu and all have been delicious . As far as desserts I had tried the mascaprone maple cheesecake no words can describe how amazing this was . The service there always great . I would definitely recommend this restaurant .

The waiter was very friendly and recommended some different wines for us to choose from. We appreciated that they offered half bottles of wine on the menu. As for the food, we started with complimentary focaccia bread with olives and sun-dried tomatoes, which was delicious. We shared the burrata, which was fresh, but I was not a fan of the bread that came with it. For our mains, we ordered the risotto and the lamb. The lamb was good, but the pasta it was served with was not up to par. The risotto, though, was enjoyable, but it had gorgonzola in it, so be aware if you are not a fan of that. I was thrilled to see that they had my favorite dessert, pistachio tartufo. We also tried the ricotta cheesecake, which was light and tasty. Their espresso martinis were also very good, a must-try after your meal. Overall, the dining experience was decent, but I would not give it more than 3 stars.

My two young sons wanted to or... read more We recently visited La Verta for an event and while the food was excellent, the attitude of the owner (or manager) was not great. My two young sons wanted to order a small snack before their meal, so my husband asked the waiter to bring something for them. The waiter brought out a charcuterie plate that ended up costing $50, which was really overpriced for a 5 and 8 year old. When I tried to address this issue, the manager (or owner) brushed me off and said he would take it off the bill. Instead, he forcefully placed a $20 bill in my husband's shirt pocket, as if he was a stripper. I just wanted to point out that the staff should have informed us of the price of the charcuterie plate before we ordered it. We felt like we were being taken advantage of, which is not acceptable. The food at La Verta is excellent, but it is just too overpriced.
