Bernard's - Ridgefield

I had a wonderful culinary experience at this restaurant, complete with exceptional service, well-prepared meals, and impeccable customer care. The charm of a live pianist, combined with the beautiful holiday decorations, evoked the nostalgic vibes of a 1940s film set, reminiscent of "Holiday Inn." While we didn't need to rein in our Bing Crosby vibes, our waiter, Chris, was incredibly knowledgeable about the restaurant’s extensive wine collection and made excellent pairing suggestions. He recommended the perfect wines to accompany our duck confit, Wellington, and house chicken. It was a delightful meal that allowed good friends to enjoy conversation without having to shout over the usual noisy pub scene found in Stamford, where dining often feels rushed in overcrowded bars. I highly recommend visiting Bernard to experience dining as it truly should be.

One of my favorite French restaurants in Connecticut! It's definitely more upscale than most places I usually frequent, so make sure to dress nicely. I found the prices to be quite reasonable for a lovely date night. The service is consistently excellent, and the staff is always attentive. The lemon cake for dessert is fantastic! Just a heads-up: I loved it, but the tartness caught me off guard. The courses here are always amazing. Although it’s quite a drive for us, it is definitely worth it!

Bernard is a fabulous restaurant, unfortunately they have sold the business and it will be reopened in the early year.
