Went here on Friday night. There is more room to sit than the Mississauga locations (although we did not sit). Bought the mixed grill and shawarma on the rocks. Overall the food and the experience was really good. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Osmow's Authentic Mediterranean Restaurant:
We had 2 regular falafel sandwiches for lunch. We were offered different ingredients from the screen. Offered verbally Hummus and Tzaziki sauces as well, which we agreed. Then asked if we wanted a combo - which we declined. When I looked over the bill at I home I saw we were overcharged. I called back and was told they charged extra 25 cents for each "sauce" Hummus and Tzatiki, or extra 50 cents plus tax each falafel.... View all feedback.
I ordered a Beef Shawarma to share and asked for it to be cut in half. I asked for all the toppings except for turnips to be added in and just a little hot sauce (toppings included lettuce, tomatoes, onion, hot peppers, parsley, pickles, and green olives).<br/ <br/ The Beef Shawarma was plentiful and tasted great. The hummus made it juicy with all the vegetables in it too. Yum!
I did not know that Osmow's had moved into my neighbourhood recently, until today, but lunchtime presented an opportunity to try it. We ordered two Chicken Shawarma and one Falafel sandwich for three of us. Two sizes to choose from, about 10 toppings, and 5 different levels of hot sauce (mild to suicide), when you order. Your choices go onto a screen for someone to fill out the order; high tech comes to middle eastern food.<br/ <br/ The sandwiches tasted fine, but the pita was a bit thin and split when they rolled them, before placing in the panini press. The falafel balls in my sandwich were properly cooked; just a bit of crunch on the outside, and soft on the inside.
Wow! Simply great food. Chicken on the rock is Perfect. very friendly staff. Portions are massive. We also order their Shawarma wrap. Worth my money. I will come here more often and will bring my friends. very fresh products. Love the light music and their cleanliness
Ordered a chicken shawarma and beef shawarma wrap with high hopes as I'd eaten at the Streetsville location before and enjoyed everything except the horrifically dirty bathrooms there (note to self: check bathrooms before ordering). <br/ <br/ Beef shawarma was so delicious. It was really flavourful with a great kick. Not your packed full of toppings (gotta have the copious amount of thick pickled turnips and pickles to make me truly happy) type shawarma but nonetheless it was delicious. <br/ <br/ The chicken shawarma paled in comparison. I mean Beef Beyoncé and Chicken that one member of Destiny's Child that lasted like 2 months.<br/ <br/ The portions were a bit lacking for the price compared to a place like Liberty Shawarma who has wraps that I find much more filling. I'd come back for that beef shawarma and get a plate next time to see if the extra was worth it.
I had a great experience when I ordered the mixed shawarma poutine at this restaurant. I would give it a perfect 10/10 rating! It was super saucy and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. I appreciated that the hot sauce had some flavor, unlike other places where it is just spicy. I also ordered some wraps with the same spice level, but for some reason, they were extremely hot and set my tongue on fire. I had to drink a lot of water to cool it down so I could enjoy the wrap. Despite that, the wrap was packed with ingredients and very filling. Next time, I would probably order it with no spice to be safe, but I would definitely order the shawarma poutine again! :)
