Contribute FeedbackFleming's offers very good steaks and overall good food, with efficient and polite service, but lacking in friendliness and accuracy. Mixed reviews on seasoning and wine pairing, but the staff and management were commended. Some diners experienced issues with undercooked or overcooked steaks, while others praised their perfectly cooked filets. Despite some inconsistencies, the outstanding service received high praise, with standout servers like Nate and Jose. The ambiance was noted to be relaxed, with a casual dress code. Overall, while some diners had mixed experiences, Fleming’s remains a popular choice for a satisfying dining experience.
Two out of three steaks were not cooked to the requested temperature. I expected better quality for the price.
This is not your typical upscale dining experience. We requested for the music to be turned down as it was more suitable for dancing than dining. There was no strict dress code, with other diners in basketball shorts, t-shirts, cut-off shorts, and crop tops. Our waiter, David, and the rest of the staff provided excellent service. We were grateful that they allowed us to share dishes.
Yet again, an excellent meal as always at Fleming’s!
My sister enjoyed her birthday dinner. The overall experience was great.
We have been going to Flemings for 18 years as long as we 've lived near Richmond. We love it! The service during this visit was as personal and accommodating as always, but the food was way off so unusual. Our steaks arrived well done when we ordered medium rare quite a difference. The mushrooms were also seriously overcooked. The server took everything back immediately and delivered a new set that was cooked perfectly. After our meal, we ordered cappuccinos with dessert. They both arrived cold! Amazing since there were only about six other tables in the dining room. At the time, the server said, we 'll make it good. But when our bill came, we were charged the entire amount with not even a free dessert. Shame on us for not asking about it, but, frankly, we were so surprised. It 's such an expensive restaurant, I would expect something extra to make up for THREE embarrassing mistakes (steaks, mushrooms, and cappuccinos), especially when we ended up spending twice as much time on our dinner as we had expected. Luckily, the wine manager chatted with us for quite some time, which was very nice. I 'm sure we 'll be back again, but this was the first time we left with a bit of a negative feeling about how we were treated.
