The staff is extremely friendly and there are options to suit everyone's taste. I enjoy coming to this restaurant with my family for some delicious treats!
Ruby Scoops is a lovely store located on Brookland Park Boulevard. Half of their menu is vegan, featuring a variety of ice creams and sorbets that can be enjoyed as scoops, milkshakes, or even ice cream sandwiches. They also offer vegan cookies. I tried their butter pecan and apple butter ice creams, and they were the freshest and creamiest vegan ice creams I've ever tasted. The staff was also fantastic, despite a busy day they were patient and kind to every customer.

Don’t visit this place alone or after dinner! Bring a friend or make sure you’re hungry enough to indulge in a sampler for yourself. I made the mistake of going solo after dinner, which was a big mistake. I really wanted to try all the flavors, but I settled for the award-winning option, which was delicious. I just wish I could have sampled all of them! And the standard waffle cone that comes with a scoop is perfection—definitely a chef’s kiss! Nobody wants a cake cone or a bland wafer holding such amazing ice cream! Plus, I love that this place is owned by a Black queen!
Where do I start? This has got to be the most DELICIOUS ice cream I've ever had. The flavors are amazing, different, and one of a kind. That HOT HONEY CORNBREAD and that UBE, OMG!! Just go and see for yourself. You're welcome in advance.
Probably my favorite ice cream in Richmond!I just love how the flavors are sometimes experimental, always exciting, thematic, and most of all they are FLAVORFUL ?I get kind of annoyed when places say an ice cream is, for example, matcha flavored or Thai tea and it barely tastes like it- here it's unmistakable like the flavor is super powerful and tastes like the real thing (that passionfruit sorbet is heavenly)Love you guys!
I had the banana pudding flavored vegan ice cream, and although i’m not a big fan of banana flavored food it was very good and smooth. The snickerdoodle cookie was also delicious. I love that this place has multiple flavor options both for regular and vegan ice cream!!! The prices were reasonable and the decor is inside is cute. Only con is theres no official parking lot so you have to search for a spot. I will definitely be visiting again to support this Black and woman owned business.
Delicious, inventive, playful flavors. The ube (purple yam) flavor was amazing—maybe the best ice cream I’ve ever had. The other flavors were more straightforward, but delicious!

The staff was incredibly friendly and patient with each customer, even on a busy day. It was a wonderful experience overall.
