Outstanding sushi! The taste and freshness of the fish is comparable to literally being at the fish market in Japan! Every piece was splendid making this restaurant easily one of the best authentic sushi restaurants in Richmond. Even their miso soup was elevated with real fish meat and enhanced rich broth! So glad to have dined here and totally would come back, only you must make a reservation early because they are... View all feedback.
What Li C doesn't like about Sushi Hachi:
Tiny restaurant . Horrible service. Girl serving said order now! We are going to be busy soon , oh no you can 't order that. No time to cook that there was a table empty, the sushi counter was totally vacant) no line outside either . Do not know where they come off like they are serving Michelin food, more like a fast food joint. Nothing to write about for taste either. Worst service and common sushi. Woman acted Lik... Reso are recommended though if you are lucky you may be able to get a seat if you walk in at the right time.
Had a chance to visit this place as a group of five They are only open for dinner service from 6 to 9:30 pm.
I thought people were exaggerating about reservations but even on a weekday you'll need to be lucky to get a table of 2 without one since there's only half
I booked L’s birthday dinner at Sushi Hachi Japanese Restaurant. Run by a husband and wife team, Sushi Hachi is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Reservations are required, as the small restaurant is perpetually booked. I invited N and Beep Beep to L’s dinner. N asked if she could bring her new gentleman friend A-OK. When I spoke to the owner to request an extra seat, I confided to the owner that I was excited to dine at his restaurant. He sounded pleased, but cautiously mentioned that he only serves sushi and sashimi. There is no teriyaki or tempura on the menu. I told him that was fine with me, as I’ve been to Japan before and I’m aware of the difference between real sushi and the North American version. He sounded worried and humbly stated that he didn’t want to get my my hopes up, as his sushi is not as good as what you can get in Japan. For this post, let’s listen to “Saw You in a Dream” by The Japanese House.
Hi Friends! I finally did it! Did what you ask? I finally had my first full-on Japanese sushi experience in Vancouver at Sushi Hachi. I had this a lot when I was in Japan but I have never been able to spoil myself with such luxury in Vancouver. We got to Sushi Hachi at 6:30pm in time for our reservation. I’m so glad that he made a reservation because it’s so hard to get a spot at Sushi Hachi and on our way in we saw a sign at the door that said that they were all booked up! I’ve been to Japanese owned sushi spots before like Kazu and Seto but this experience felt completely different.
