Riverview Orchards

4.5 / 5 (99 reviews)

Description

Tucked into the harvest trail, this charming orchard shop delights with standout apple cider donuts, pies (try the apple-raspberry), jams, jellies and a plexiglass beehive to watch bees at work. There’s no admission fee—you simply pay for picked fruit—making it a friendly spot to browse gifts and impulse buys. Warm, attentive staff elevate the visit, but pickings thin later in season and weekends bring long checkout lines and limited registers, so arrive early for best variety and a quicker experience.

This is an absolutely fantastic spot! Isabel and her team excel at creating a delightful experience, especially if you're in the mood for various types of apples. They offer the best pies around—don't miss the apple raspberry pie! They also have a great selection of relishes, jams, and jellies. Plus, there’s a plexiglass beehive where you can observe the bees at work. Best of all, there’s never an admission fee; you simply pay for the apples you pick!

What a wonderful place! Perfect for that fall day. Apples picking, animals, hay rides, and a wonderful shop with local goodies!

This is a lovely spot, and I appreciate that there is no entry fee like at some other local orchards. However, I found their prices to be a bit on the high side. I often end up leaving without making a purchase because the checkout lines are so long. I’m not willing to wait 30 to 60 minutes just to pay. They really need more cashiers or payment options. Weekends are limited, and I don’t want to waste time standing in line. The apples and donuts are definitely a bit pricey, but they are quite good.
