I was with my 4 year old son who thankfull... read more This place was undeniably the worst I have ever come across in terms of service and how my family and I were treated. I was with my 4 year old son who thankfully didn't witness his Mummy being shouted at by, I assume, the owner of this establishment, only because my husband took him away. We arrived at 12.40 and the owner welcomed us in so a good start, but sadly that's where it ended. We ordered drinks and shortly after, we ordered food. Then started the issues....no food came. It wasn't a hard order 3 burgers, 1 kids meal and a salad but an hour and 10 minutes after arriving, we still had no food! After 45 minutes of waiting, we enquired after our food and the owner, who had been so pleasant before, kept saying 10 minutes, flapping his arm in a general manner, and being quite dismissive. Even so, we duly waited those 10 minutes. Then, he said 15 minutes whilst he rushed off to what I can only assume was the kitchen to actually put the order through as we'd clearly been forgotten. It was at that point we said no as we couldn't wait any longer mainly due to onward travel plans, but also we had a very hungry child who was my priority. This is when the owner was rude, blamed us for wanting a meal too quickly and started to shout at us in front of the other diners. My dad paid for the drinks and we left. To be honest, I just wanted to get out of the place, something I've not felt before. The poor waitress who understood our predicament was very apologetic and looked quite embarrassed. Mistakes happen and I get that, and if the owner has approached things differently, and just admitted what had happened, apologised etc, I may be writing a different review. However, avoiding us (by delivering food to other tables by using a different door so as to not have to walk past our table) and blaming us is not the way forward. Reims is a beautiful place, just eat elsewhere as you'll see more of it rather than sitting for an hour and 10 minutes waiting for a burger!
