Was Manon at Buck a mag?
Perfect place for local food and cosy place. It tasted very good. We went there for salty breakfasts, quite cheap for such a heavy meal! Can be full for dinner and they don't accept reservation. Service: 5 View all feedback.
What Philip W dislikes about Buck:
I had gluten free fish and chips they were very good, my wife had a pasta dish and was disappointed with it. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value View all feedback.
As for the food and drinks, everything was excellent and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the Sunday roast; it's definitely worth it, and I would absolutely return. Service: 5/5 Location: 5/5 Hotel highlights: Quiet, Great value.
This is a straightforward pub with a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's also very dog-friendly. They offer a nice selection of beers, including Black Sheep, Theakstons, and Tetleys, which we enjoyed during our visit. The food portions were generous, and the meal itself was delightful. I had the chicken, leek, and bacon pie served with chips, vegetables, and gravy, while my partner opted for the gammon with chips, salad, and accompaniments. The service was excellent. This pub embodies what the best pubs used to be like, especially since many have either become gastro pubs or fallen into disrepair. I highly recommend this one!
I had a lovely meal here in the evening. The food was gluten-free, and the service was friendly. The prices were reasonable as well. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience. Rating for food and drinks: 5, and for service and location: 5.
