Wow! Just wow! I had the pepper-crusted New York steak, which was the special for the night, accompanied by garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. It was an amazing meal! The steak was generous in size and cooked to perfection. The broccoli was outstanding, and the mashed potatoes were incredibly flavorful. Cara had the gorgonzola pasta with grilled chicken, which was delightful too. I enjoyed a delicious citrus-flavored martini. The atmosphere and service were excellent! This is a perfect spot for a dinner date with your significant other or loved one.
I'm so excited to have discovered this hidden gem that I must have passed by countless times without realizing it! This delightful restaurant features a beautiful ambiance, an outstanding selection of wines, and dishes that take you on a culinary journey with every bite. I'm looking forward to coming back to try more items and wines from the menu! Brandon, the owner, and our server Kimberly delivered exceptional service. A big shoutout to Jennifer L. Collins for the recommendation!
I don't often give 5-star reviews, but Citrone in Redlands deserves at least 6! My dinner last night was outstanding, and the service was exceptional. The cozy, intimate ambiance features an open kitchen, which adds to the experience. I specifically chose Citrone to try the veal chop I had seen highlighted on Yelp. However, once I was seated, my server informed me that the veal chop was no longer on the dinner menu and was offered as a special on select nights, and unfortunately, last night wasn’t one of them. I was disappointed as I searched for an alternative. Just then, a gentleman named Brandon came by to welcome me. I shared my reason for visiting—a special celebration—and expressed my disappointment over the unavailable veal chop. With a warm smile, Brandon assured me he would check on something. A moment later, he returned with incredible news: he had two veal chops available, one of which was mine! I was overjoyed and thanked him profusely for going above and beyond to make my night memorable. For dinner, I enjoyed a scallop appetizer with corn, duck à l'orange, and the magnificent veal chop with risotto. The scallops were beautifully prepared and refreshingly light, with flavors that showcased the expertise of the kitchen. The duck featured a savory, crispy skin and tender meat that was wonderfully rich without being gamey. As for the veal chop with risotto, it was one of the most unforgettable dishes I've ever tasted—tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The risotto was creamy and buttery, with delectable mushrooms on top; it was so delightful, it could have easily stood as a main course all by itself. As is my custom, I finished my meal with a vanilla bean cheesecake, which was airy and light yet satisfying. Truly delightful! Overall, there were no leftovers from my meal, and I happily cleaned my plates. I can't wait to return for another wonderful dining experience!
The atmosphere at this restaurant is truly delightful, featuring high ceilings, glass accents, and thoughtfully designed lighting that creates a chic and comfortable ambiance. The seating is inviting, and the background music enhances the overall warm vibe. The decor is fresh and clean, showcasing a sophisticated bistro style. Who doesn’t love fresh flowers gracing the table? The exposed brick walls and the decorative tin ceiling, complemented by practical pipe vents for heating and air conditioning, add to the experience in a subtle yet effective way. Dining here genuinely transports you to another place, but the real standout is the food and drinks. As a solo diner, I was thrilled to discover a selection of half bottles of exquisite wines, both local and imported, available on the menu. Since I enjoy having two glasses with my meal, the option of freshly opened bottles, rather than just standard by-the-glass or full-bottle choices, is a real pleasure. I chose a half bottle of a rich Brunello and the house Cioppino, which made my evening truly memorable. I ended my meal with a delicious slice of olive oil cake paired with Graham's 20-Year-Old Tawny Port. Before leaving, I was so impressed that I made a reservation for the following day, just to confirm that my wonderful experience had not been a dream.
