Description

La Coppola is a charming and cozy pizzeria that offers a wide variety of delicious pizzas with fresh and flavorful toppings. The gluten-free pizza base is highly recommended, despite the extra cost. The restaurant has received mixed feedback, with some diners expressing disappointment in the taste and size of the pizzas, as well as service issues like additional charges and rudeness from staff. However, many customers have praised the quality of the food, the friendly staff, and the overall dining experience. La Coppola is a popular spot, especially on weekends, so reservations are recommended. Overall, it seems like La Coppola is worth a try for those looking for a casual family-friendly restaurant with fantastic pizza options.

I emailed to inquire if the kitchen is friendly to those with celiac disease, and they responded that it is not.

I really enjoy this restaurant, especially their delicious gluten free pizza bases. They also have gluten free hot cross buns available for purchase. If you inform the staff about your coeliac disease, they can take precautions to minimize cross contamination by using a special tray for your pizza. However, there is still a slight risk, as is common in all establishments that serve both gluten free and non-gluten free dishes.

This is by far the best gluten-free pizza I have ever had, surpassing even traditional flour-based pizzas. I have a high sensitivity to gluten and have never had a negative reaction after eating here. One time, my partner accidentally ordered a regular pizza base while I was away, and the restaurant actually called to double-check the order because they knew we typically order gluten-free. This place is definitely one of my favorites.

Not coeliac safe. I asked about cross contamination and was told that all the pizzas are cooked in the same stone oven. There was then a remark about the ovens being hot enough to burn the gluten. Was disappointed because the pizzas looked lovely, but not worth the risk

Best gluten free pizza base I’ve ever had. Staff were super knowledgeable about coeliacs.
