Huxtaburger recently marked their first anniversary and introduced a new menu. They offer an assortment of beef burgers, chicken burgers, and five vegetarian plant-based burgers. We particularly liked their tasty sides, such as the crispy onion rings and unique gravy chips. The gravy had a thinner consistency than expected, and we discovered that it was actually vegetarian gravy.
3.5/5 Huxtaburger recently celebrated it's first birthday. I head there for some burgs with Mr Weekend Food Escapes and some of my foodie friends. The staff tell me that they have revamped their menu and made alternations following feedback from their customers. Huxtaburger is a slender venue however there's also seating at the back. I notice there are a number of plant based burger options so that's good if you do not eat meat. But first, I enjoy a glass of pinot grio wine $11) while Mr Weekend Food Escapes goes for a summer ale $9)
Very friendly service, burgers are good value and delicious! Really living up to the expectation and just as I remembered it when I tried it 3 years ago in Melbourne.
Went on a weekday evening. There were a few patrons and the interior of the joint was absolutely beautiful with retro feels.<br/ <br/ I ordered Dillon beef burger with tomato sauce, lettuce, egg, smoked paprika mayo, cheese, mustard tomato and pickles $12.90), it was probably one of the most delicious burger Ive had for a very long time. It didnt have the flame grilled taste but the sauce combo was outstanding. I really couldnt fault the burger. So i read previous reviews and I honestly didnt feel there was anything wrong with the beef pattie. It was far better than maccas' beef pattie and i had a big mac recently and wanted to bin it right away).<br/ <br/ My partner ordered their vegan burger. Vegan denise spicy bean and quinoa pattie, jalapenos, siracha mayo, cheese, mustard, tomato, tomato sauce, lettuce and pickles $12.9). He said it was absolutely delicious and found the pattie to be suitable for a vegetarian burger.<br/ <br/ For sides we ordered onion rings and hashbites $3.5 for a small, 4.5 for medium and 5.5 for a large), the onion rings were a stock standard but the hash bites with dill seasoning was a crowd pleaser with lots of flavour.<br/ <br/ We ordered 2 shakes gingerbread christmas special edition) and salted caramel. $6.5 small, $7.50 medium, $8.50 large). They were both delicious in terms of flavour, gingerbread and little bits of i assume) gingerbread blended into the shake. We really enjoyed both, the shakes were... i dont know how to describe it... frothy? and light unlike the liquidy milkshakes or thickshakes. I personally prefer thickshakes but this was adequate too.<br/ <br/ We were extra happy with the food and would be more than happy to go back and spend our money. We'd rate huxatburger redfern a solid 4.5/4 for food.<br/ <br/ *kindly invited
