My recent experience at this restaurant was better than previous visits because I was actually staying at the hotel. Our air conditioning at home was out, so a friend kindly offered us a beautiful room for 4 days. The rooms were very spacious and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I also enjoyed the pool and the well-equipped gym. The food was delicious! I only deducted one star because I typically have bad luck,... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Win-river Resort Casino:
There are multiple issues with this restaurant. Firstly, the staff treat their employees poorly, which in turn affects the service to the customers. The hotel is subpar, with uncomfortable beds and an air conditioning system that shuts off in extreme heat. There is no soundproofing, leading to a lack of privacy for guests. The most concerning part was a lipstick stain on the door frame to the bathroom, indicating a l... View all feedback.
I wish Freeplay monthly was a bigger thing escpecially for ones that use their cards and spend moneys there.
This casino has a lot more slots than my local as well as a lot more variety. However the payout is far less. They do keep it clean on the floor as well as the bathrooms. Having to depend on staff to get you a beverage is something that can use some modification. Not blaming the staff but for the life of me I couldn't get a drink to save my life. Overall this is a decent place
The rooms are good for the price but overall too smokey from the Casino. Even though rooms are all non smoking, the smell carries through into the rooms. Noise was also an issue for us so we won't stay here again. Very Friendly staff especially the front desk guy. He was great! If you like a Casino experience and don't mind cigarette smoke, it's a good place.
We’ve stayed here 1-2 times a year for 10 years because our family lives nearby. We’ve always been pleased with our stay at Win River. This time was different. The staff was as pleasant and friendly as ever, but much else had changed. Our third day of a 5 night stay, we left the room at 11am, removed the do not disturb sign, and left to spend the day with family. We returned in the evening to find that our room had not been cleaned or resupplied. Mike at the front desk gave us the supplies we needed, and was so helpful. We went to the Creekside restaurant for a nightcap and had to change our table 3 times for loud and intoxicated people almost falling on us. No security was present to control the situation. I understand that people want to have fun, but this was out of control. I don’t know that I will spend this much money on a room again just because it’s in close proximity to my family. I do have to say that this makes me sad because we’ve always enjoyed our stays here. Sincerely, Karen Gibbs
Be advise ALL events at this casino are 21 and older no matter what type of event it is. This county and it’s surrounding areas do not get a lot of concerts so options for seeing a performance is extremely limited. It was heartbreaking to see a family that had drove two hours to see a country music artist, who also stood in line for several hours more, only to get kicked out as the event started! The employees lack of communication and the miscommunication was unacceptable. The family had never been to the casino before and was unaware that minors were not allowed to any events. I live in the area and I didn’t even know that. They were told that minors can eat at the restaurants and walk out on the casino floor to use the restrooms but they can NOT stand in a line or see a country music concert. That is ridiculous! When this family asked for a refund they were denied! The manager kept repeating to the family “You should have known”. How could they have known. No where on the Win-River Casino Resort website does it state that these events are 21 and older, which is very unprofessional. Besides, this casino doesn’t offer much variety in gambling. You won’t find anything under .25 per hand. Save your money, go to the casinos in Reno, because they have a better gambling variety, better customer service and they don’t discriminate against children!
