Shack, The - Redding

Perfect setting for our girls out at night we had dinner and arranged a few cocktails. the mood was great, they had live acoustic music in the bar very easy to hear and good mood / atmosphere. eating was amazing that we even meet the cook and the service was attentive and friendly very welcoming. I recommend the calamari and we tried both types of steak on the menu and they were delicious!

Everything we had was great. black meat afteros were amazing. cheesecake was amazing.

My man and I were looking for a place to eat before a show in redding, and it crossed our thoughts to try the shack social. we were big fans of clearie’s, but had not tried the new restaurant. we could not have been more pleasantly surprised. the environment had changed somewhat from the time it was clearie, but it still had a welcoming, uplifting feeling. the hostess was very friendly and efficient, the service was wonderful, and especially the eating was fabulous. my man got the pappardelle with rock steak, and it was amazing. the steak had a Korean bbq taste and the pasta seemed to be handmade. I had the scampi perfectly cooked with two kinds of tasteful sauce - a tomato cream and a garlic butter. we had the Calamari Appetizer. we will definitely come back. it was the perfect date night spot.

We arrived 1 hour early and sat at the bar to enjoy a few cocktails. the cocktails are good. everything started to go from the moment we were sitting. there were a few more that joined us to dinner. we ordered a round drink. they came, but took some time. we finally got the opportunity to order us. we all ordered. I had the burger. the woman had healed. my buddy had the best nativity and his wife had the black bubbly and skalopps. a time had passed before we got our food. about 30 min. medium-term I had to grab the table itself to get rid of the cocktails. a man I forgot him. he came and filled our water and asked if we needed something. I answered, we are in order, we are waiting for our meal. the man was out of the bar area. our meals finally came but our friends did not come. so we sat and waited and after 12 min my friend passed the host. sh found our server and sent it over. she said she would check the remaining food. She came back after a minute and said something happened and her order didn't go through and they do it now. for another 14 minutes the rest of the food came and we started eating. at this time our meals were cold. what I can do without biggie. However, the healed of my wife seemed boiled and really fish. the drills that were served with him were almost useless. Maybe they wanted to have an al Dente style, but they missed the sign. my burger was good, the pommes were the star of the show. my buddy liked his head rib and his wife was in order with her teller. their scallops were cooked. after $98 mice at the bar plus a few more cocktails at the table and dinner we were at about $405 ish in this. we often go out and we were thrilled to try a new place. will we come back? Maybe if someone comes to me to do this, we will do that. at this time I would not recommend any friends and family. best - yes. jeff pigage

Love the live music on Fridays and Saturdays. The food and drinks are INCREDIBLE!!!
