The vibe was great they had live acoustic music in the bar very easy listening and good vibe/ atmosphere. Food was amazing we even got to meet the chef and the service was attentive and friendly very inviting. I highly recommend the calamari and we tried both types of steak on the menu and they were delicious!

We had been big fans of Cle... read more My husband and I were looking for a place to have dinner before a show in Redding, and it crossed our minds to try The Shack Social. We had been big fans of Clearie's but had not tried the new restaurant. We could not have been more pleasantly surprised. The environment had changed somewhat from the time it was Clearie's, but it still had an inviting, upscale feel. The hostess was very friendly and efficient, the service was wonderful, and most importantly, the food was fabulous. My husband got the pappardelle with skirt steak, and it was amazing. The steak had a Korean BBQ flavor and the pasta seemed to be hand-made. I had the scampi, which was perfectly cooked with two kinds of flavorful sauce--a tomato cream and a garlic butter. We had the calamari appetizer. We will definitely be back. It was the perfect date night spot.

Overall really enjoyed the live music (Supertonic Jazz) and the environment. Pretty good for a first time there.
