I'm visiting from out of town and staying at the Americana Modern Hotel in Redding for the night (which is a fantastic hotel, by the way). I decided to check out Maxwell's, located just down the street. I ordered the blue cheese bacon avocado burger, watermelon pale ale, and onion rings. Everything was exceptional! I highly recommend it.
I wish I could share my thoughts on their food, but instead, I'll be focusing on their ordering service. I've heard they serve fantastic pizza, so...

The lovely barmaid called ‘Cayton’ asked me for ID because she thought I was 21. I’m actually mid 40’s ! That, although unprecedented and flattering, gets a 5 star rating from now on . Congrats Cayton, you are the first and hopefully not the last .
