Service was amazing, very nice and quick. Very clean but not very much seating, it is pretty small inside. I was expecting it to be like Peter Chus Skyroom but the menu/food is pretty different but still good. Its definitely more of a sushi place ascompared to chinese food. Overall had a very nice experience, glad I tried it.

I have been here many times and I am NEVER disappointed. Love the food. Staff are all very pleasant and friendly. Calm atmosphere not too loud. The ONLY downside is because it's all so good, I always order too much! :

Who is this place good for? Not sure if it's great for Redding food. The food wasn't exceptional, just average. The staff was okay, but we had to ask multiple times about certain items on the menu.

A perfect blend of Chinese cuisine and Japanese sushi! We stayed in Redding for four days and ended up dining here five times! My daughter discovered this hidden gem, and it was the very first place we visited for lunch upon arrival. We loved it so much that we returned for dinner the same night, then three more times over the weekend—and every visit was just as amazing! The sushi was fresh and beautifully presented in every dish. Over those five meals, we savored everything: Dragon Roll, Sakura Roll, Unagi Hand Roll, Salmon Avocado Roll, Eel Teriyaki, Sweet and Sour Pork, Beef Short Ribs, egg flower soup—each bite was delightful. Since my daughter dislikes cucumber, they kindly modified every dish for her. On our second day, we brought along another family of five who enjoyed the Seafood Udon Soup, Vegetable Tempura, Sushi Boat, Abalone Soup, and a family dinner for three. What a fantastic meal! Often, restaurants offering both Chinese and Japanese fare lean toward one, but not here! I was skeptical about my wife’s sweet and sour pork, but it exceeded expectations—the breading on the meat stayed crisp and firm, even in the sauce. The service was excellent, with food arriving at a comfortable pace that never overwhelmed us or the table. Reservations aren’t required, but I recommend calling ahead for groups of five or more so they can arrange tables. Note that they’re closed Sunday nights. I highly recommend Chu’s Too!

What some call "good for Redding food" is accurate—there’s nothing wrong, but nothing outstanding either. The staff were efficient, but that was about it. We had to ask several times for service and found that a few menu items were unavailable.
