We encountered a very rude and unpleasant woman at the door who insisted we scan the app for covid. I explained that I did not have the app and she rudely insisted that I scan it. I mentioned that it is not a legal requirement to have the app and offered to sign their book instead. However, she continued to be rude and made unpleasant faces. The manager should address this behavior as it was very unpleasant. On a positive note, Tracey took my order and she was very nice and helpful, a wonderful member of staff who deserves recognition. The food was nice, hot, and enjoyable.

Trust me some franchise outlets don't always get it right if production not properly planned you end up with oily chicken so kudos to this outlet.

Furthermore, they were also out of thermo cups for hot drinks, leaving only water as an option.

I 've tried this KFC in Reading 5 or 6 times over the last 2 years, each time having a bad experience but hoping it was a one off as other KFCs have been great. But it is always the same unfortunately. Not all your order will be hot or fresh, it 's pot luck. My chips were stone cold, zinger chewy, hot wings a little warm. Staff have a bit of attitude . The place is filthy. Toilets are rancid. I ordered an americano with my meal, when I lifted the lid it was black, that 's fine, but when I went back to ask for milk the lady made a big deal about what I ordered. I said didn 't see a white or black option? Maybe I missed it. Anyway, after what could have escalated into a big argument for no reason, and why are we arguing about milk in the 1st place?.... all they had to do was give me some milk instead of the argument. They didn 't have any sachets in the end anyway, probably why they were arguing about milk. Who the hell is running this place? You can make your own opinion up if you dare visit, but please don 't waste your cash. Go somewhere else.

The food was just a bit warm not hot and the chicken was tough, presumably because it was cooked some time ago and left to stay warm for ages. I didn't get the dip I paid for, the drinks were all pre poured on the counter and starting to reach room temperature. One of the chicken pieces was a wing with a tiny bit of breast. Pretty ghastly.
