Everything we ordered; the mixe... read more Fantastic Afghani cuisine! We had an exceptional dining experience here and, if we lived local, we wouldn 't hesitate to return. Everything we ordered; the mixed grill chicken, the Namak Chicken, the Nan and Rice were all beautifully flavoured and cooked to perfection. It 's unusual to order a curry by 'weight '; the half-kilo Namak Chicken arrived in a huge Karai skillet. A quarter-kilo would be sufficient for two if, like us, you couldn 't resist ordering the grilled options too! The staff are super friendly and made our visit very enjoyable. There 's a great atmosphere created by the owners, a husband (chef) and wife (front of house) team. If they ever open a branch in East Yorkshire then they 've a guaranteed customer! If you love freshly grilled chicken/lamb and authentic curries you 'll love Da Village!

The f... read more I went to this restaurant with family for dinner, absolutely amazing place. The place is very clean, they are very welcoming, the staff are all very nice. The food is just heavenly, I’ve been to many Afghani/Pakistani restaurants, but this has been the best when it comes to taste and quality of food. It’s seriously nice, and the fresh bread is very nicely made. The mango lassi also very nice and tasty, many other places don’t get the balance right, but it was perfect, will definitely go back again with family. Thank you

I love the dine-in area and with the new management, the service and food has improved drastically. It's a must-try if you are in Reading. It’s 100% halal alhumdullilah
