What hairyt dislikes about Beefeater:

Wow. Could I have more appalling service today? Waited for staff to finish chatting and this took 5 mins before I got seated…. (Female black hair and male with tattoos). Had to ask for a tea bag…. And also had to ask for milk….. I mean wanting a mug of tea at 7am isn’t unreasonable…is it? only 3 guests in restaurant so not busy at all. How can staff get away with this? Bloke in kitchen was good value and had a laugh... View all feedback.

Starter of lettuce with blue cheese dressing was disappointing as blue cheese dressing tastes like a ranch dressing No French mustard available for my steak

Shocking experience, booked and paid for breakfast in advance. Breakfast should have started at 07:00, we turned up at 07:10, left waiting at door for 5 mins, finally man comes over in normally clothing, says he a chef and no staff have turned up for work. He said we could come and sit down and wait. A waitress arrived and wondered around the restaurant in her coat looking lost. Chef was in the kitchen in coat and normal clothes prepping breakfast. After waiting further 15 minutes we went through to the premier inn and requested a refund. Unexceptional behaviour for a business taking money but not being ready to serve customers on time.

On 11/01/2022, Sergio, the restaurant manager, deserves high praise for single-handedly running the restaurant all evening and providing outstanding service. Despite it being his night off, he came in and managed the entire service without any waiting staff. He worked alongside a young lady who handled the busy bar area while he managed the restaurant's capacity, took orders, served food, and attended to customers' needs. Even when I tried to get my own condiments, Sergio insisted on doing it himself, showing his dedication to his job. Despite any issues with the food or service that night, Sergio's hard work and commitment to keeping the restaurant running smoothly should not go unnoticed. The food was decent and reasonably priced, but Sergio's exceptional efforts overshadow any shortcomings. Beefeater should recognize and appreciate outstanding employees like Sergio, who can single-handedly manage a busy service with grace and efficiency. Brexit may have caused staff shortages in the hospitality industry, but Sergio's exceptional performance proves that dedicated individuals can still provide top-notch service. I have no personal connection to Sergio, but his impressive display of hard work and professionalism deserves recognition and reward.

Overpriced for what it is, ordered the T-Bone, rare, came over done. Ordered the sharing platter, all over cooked. Drinks flat. Dirty plates left on the table for 25 minutes. Won’t return.

I visited beefeater again for breakfast. they still have personal problems, but we had very good experiences. the waitress was welcoming and helpful, eating was nice and dressed at any time. no reason to complain. I wish that the personal is better valued there, they do very good work. I'm coming back to breakfast

My friend and I had some beefeater discounted on our card so we decided to use it. we had just finished a hard time work, so we felt that we deserved it. we chose the downshire arms in bracknell forest. this is the local pub for both of us. It was a Saturday lunch time and I would have expected that the place was too busy, but surprisingly it was steady, but not all the tables were full. I started with a san miguel beer that really helped me to erase my thirst. We ordered from daytime saver menu' and I ended the ordering of vegetable linguine and my friend chose the beer battered fish and chips. the linguine was beautiful, much roasted sweet and a delicious sauce. there was also garlic bread on the side. I have to admit that I spoke better in my life, but for the price I think it's good. My friend had tasty beer battered fish that the teig was light and fluffy. the chips were tasty and it came with a side of ravages and weetic sauce. Then came dessert, as we both couldn't resist the caramel apple betty. there was a lot of apple and it was super sweet, which is exactly what we needed after a very stressful day comfort food. I would recommend this place for traditional pub scrub and very good value for money, especially if they use discount vouchers!

If after a no fuss family-friendly restaurant with a large menu and tasty eating are too good to go, then the beefeater downshire arms is the place to go.
