Great food, and between ordering and arrival of the appetizers, we were encouraged to walk down to the lakefront to see the spectacular sunset. Great variety of food choices, and excellent service. The service is friendly, and the a... read more I've been visiting this place for over 25 years, and while some upgrades have been made, it still retains its original charm. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant with welcoming staff. The restaurant is just as impressive, and breakfast is definitely my favorite meal here. Overall, I would rate the rooms, service, and location all with a 5 out of 5. Hotel highlights include luxury accommodations, beautiful views, a tranquil environment, and it's also kid-friendly.

The staff are... read more I recently went for breakfast as it's open to the public. It has a good variety. They serve lots of food. There is a breakfast buffet on Sundays. The staff are very nice. Edit: I recently went for dinner. The menu seemed limited. My son's chowder wasn't great but the chicken and sides I had were very good. Service was attentive.

Listen to the bullfrogs and loons at night. The main hotel is gorgeous inside, with luxurious old time decor. The food was outstanding, great bar and superb coffee house next door.
