No wonder this is an incredibly busy restaurant. We dined here last night in a full house. But besides this the takeaway business was going gangbusters. We do like Thai food a lot and know it well. Everything we had was perfect. The chicken satay skewers were tender and delicious So was the barbecued Lamb and Beef. Tums Thai is a pretty basic Thai restaurant in Randwick, very small, plastic tables and chairs and seats about 15 people.
I have passed by this place several times on my way to Coles but never tried it.
My go to place for lunch and take away for the last 10 years. Occasionally go in for a very pleasant, casual dinner. It moved location, around the corner, a couple of years ago, but still run by the same great couple. Friendly, fast service, great food and large servings, at a reasonable price. Highly recommend it.
My partner and I have visited Tum Thai plenty of times and have always been impressed with the food whatever we order. The other night I ordered through menulog but the driver never picked up the food, so the restaurant called and offered to deliver it themselves. Despite the delivery time the food was still great and throughout the experience all the staff were courteous and understanding. My only regret? I didn’t leave a big enough tip.
