I was so excited to go here for my birthday lunch, I was delighted that they opened on Sunday so we got the bus there at lunch and went it. it wasn't quite the... read more I was so excited to go here for my birthday lunch, I was delighted that they opened on Sunday so we got the bus there at lunch and went it. it wasn't quite the English style fish n chip shop I had read about. It was very basic inside and the lady wasn't too enthusiastic in serving us and when the food was brought out i was disappointed. Frozen chips and what looked like birds eye frozen fish i can buy at the supermarket. The lady behind the counter was painting her nails - not very hygienic. I carried on anyway as we had made the trip here and I didn't want to complain so I just put extra vinegar on my food! Within an hour of leaving I had to make several trips to the bathroom - a touch of food poisoningI was already going to write a review whilst I was eating my food I was thinking about it, but after suffering from illness after I definitely thought I should warn my fellow trip advisors!
