After spending time at the beach in Ramsgate, we decided to have fish and chips for lunch. The restaurant was busy, but we hadn't been there in a while and wanted to give it another try. The mixed seafood grill was a generous portion and tasted pretty good. The chips were cooked well and the seafood was nicely seasoned. The prawns were especially delicious.
Have had fish and chips from here before although it was a few years ago and they have been ok but this visit it was very disappointing. Had calamari rings and the batter on them was soggy, also ordered flathead and chips, same thing , really soggy batter, hours later we were still burping the fatty taste, both had indigestion afterwards. Wont be returning.
We ordered a grilled fish burger and a grilled flathead meal. The fries were okay, but unfortunately, the fish was not fresh. The burger was soggy and hardly appetizing.
Best seafood I have had for a while . I chose the John Dory meal which consisted of a fillet of John Dory grilled with herbed butter a generous serve of perfectly cooked chips and a Greek side salad. I was so suprised to get such quality from a takeaway. We were seated at the tables and chairs sitting in the sun and watching to world go by . At $11.50 great value. Only downside was meal served in styrene box something more environmentally friendly would be good
