We decided to risk it anyway and were served by who we assume is the woman reviews call rude. She was lovely and was quick to offer us a deal for the 5 of us. Called into this shop to purchase fresh salmon, female worker (Sandy) was the rudest person ever. I felt totally traumatised by this worker yelling & shouting at me about not wanting to buy the frozen fish when I had clearly stated I wanted fresh. Seriously fellow travellers - stay clear. The food was fantastic, with the fish tasting very fresh and a generous portion of chips. The service was quick and the meal was great value for money.
As a chef from Melbourne, I must say that this restaurant is top-notch. You won't find fish and chips of this quality anywhere in Victoria. The fish was perfectly fried in clean oil, resulting in a light and super crunchy dish. Don't let any negative reviews sway you - this place is a hidden gem. The owner was friendly and the service was quick.
This restaurant in Rainbow Beach serves the best seafood. I have been a loyal customer for years and have never been disappointed. My favorite is buying the packs of frozen fish to enjoy at home. I highly recommend this place.
Fish and chips were nice but I'm not surprised the owners are selling. Customer service very poor and I almost walked out. Hopefully new owners can change what can be a lucrative business with the right attitude towards their customers.
Horrible run down shop. Rude customer service. Wiping her nose while cooking and using the same hand to get food. Honestly waste of time going there.
