What Grover Buckridge doesn't like about Red Hana Sushi:
It was a traffic afternoon in Quezon City and I was famished after looking for cheap hotels since I'd be staying in here for quite a while when I stumbled upon this corner-ish restaurant, like I wouldn't notice it if I wasn't looking for restaurant and was very hungry. The place wasn't that great, I find it undity and small. But the food looks good and taste good as well. The employees were all sitting in front of me... View all feedback.
Number of times visited: more than 2X Parking: Limited, in front of the store Food: The food is okay for its price. The sukiyaki is generous in serving and good for 2-3 people. It’s great tasting and flavorful, it’s one of our favorites in Red Hana. The beef that they use in the gyudon is quite tough. This dish would have been okay if the meat used were more tender. The maki and sushi are also okay but don’t expect it to have the same quality as what top Japanese restaurants offer. Price : Affordable. Service: Polite attendants and quick service. Place: It’s quite a small place and the seats not that comfortable. Repeat: Yes for the affordable sukiyaki.
For me, this is the best japanese restaurant in Quezon City in terms of price and quality of food. Must trys: Crunchy Cali, Crab and Corn, Oyakudon, Tempura and Lemon Juice.
Foods were amazingly good and affordable except for the gyoza that was served to me, imagine the texture and taste of a gyoza which just came out of the freezer then fried. A bit disappointing, hopefully you can do research on how to serve gyoza better. I like the ambiance and how attentive the servers were. Considering all my personal parameters, I'd still recommend Red Hana.
Service is ok (friendly and quick). Ambience is average. Price is reasonable. First time to try eating here. My friend ordered beef ramen (i tasted it and masarap naman) BUT the food I ordered, gyudon (beef rice bowl), was disappointing :( The serving was big for a P130 meal so I was excited to eat but the beef tasted weird (like I was chewing pork liver) and it was matigas (sumakit ngipin ko). I even ask the waitress if gyudon ba yung nabigay sa akin since first time ko rin kumain ng gyudon na beef chunks instead of the usual thinly sliced beef for a gyudon that I know of. I just ate the rice and egg, leaving the beef chunks. :(
Reasonable price for a Japanese resto. Chicken teriyaki and ebi tempura are fine; unagi and mixed sushi are very disappointing. Heavy smell of cooking smoke inside.
