Great ambience, good airconditioning, restroom is near just across the restaurant itself. Okonomiyaki is on the saltier side, big thumbs up on the maki, ramen (tantanmen and buns. Get the 3 buns in a set its cheaper that way can be mixed either chicken (crunchy even with sauce or pork (soft its a hongma/humba style . They serve tea, just ask the waitstaff : They always give out a customer satisfaction paper for you t... View all feedback.
Now a combination of pork and chicken broths, this one’s definitely much better than their previous one. This is more traditional tantanmen. Love it and will always keep coming back for this! Super plus to the amazing food is their equally amazing staff. My son and I went here two Saturdays in a row, I think. Will come back again next week!!!
What I look forward the most on ramen aside from the richness and heaviness of the broth is the noodles. Definitely one of the best noodles so far. Thin, right hard crisp and light. It doesn 't make you feel full. Pork is tasty. I love their ebi tempura roll not 'fishy ' compared to other 's. Only thing, though, I didn 't like is that it 's hard to move around the area; it 's not child friendly because tables are close to one another. Unless you don 't pay attention, you could clearly hear people from other tables talk.
Ippudo has always been my number one ramen joint in Manila. With its light yet umami packed broth, I could easily finish a bowl. And after weeks of not having a decent Japanese meal, I figured that it's time to end it and indulge in my favorite Shiromaru Tamago. One of the things I love about Ippudo is its impressive service. I used to frequent its Uptown Bonifacio branch and the staff never fail to give me a pleasant dining experience. And I'm glad that same is true with its Ayala Malls Vertis North store.
When I heard Ippudo is also open in the Philippines, I told myself to try. So far, the difference between the taste of JP and PH is the richness. JP has more authentic taste than PH, but taste was, it is up my alley. This is a good place to have a hangout with friends, though pricey, the food is still worth it. Overall, the place is good and the food is just right for Japanese food lovers.
Had dinner with the in-laws. Had to wait for a table for 8, but the wait wasn't long. We ordered the Shiromaru Motoaji, Shiromaru Tamago, Shiromaru Chasu, Karaka Special, Yokohama, Akamaru, Gyoza, Karaage, and Okonomiyaki. The ramen were very good. Not salty and not too rich. Service was very good. Request for wavy noodles and egg was accommodated. Price is slightly high.
