when it comes to natural wee, other places in astoria have a splash of choices in their menu. this is the only place in the neighbourhood that is the natural wine as I, with a wine menu, that is all natural! the happy hour is unbeatable, with great tapas and natural wein to couple. it is a must for those who try to extinguish their thirst and eat it is also so fresh! this is a definitiw a neighborhood motto. Not only is the food delicious but the service is incredible too. Reggie is the best! We love in the area and go here often.
I recently visited this new restaurant in the neighborhood. The staff was welcoming, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the food was excellent! We especially enjoyed the homemade tortillas for the tacos, the tasty chicken enchiladas, and the delicious sangria. We can't wait to come back and make this place a regular hangout.
Don Camote is a standout restaurant with high-quality food that matches the pricing. The service, aesthetics, and most importantly, the food, are all top-notch. Authentic Mexican music played while we enjoyed delicious sangrias with crisp apples. The portion sizes were fair and the ceviche was particularly impressive. The homemade arc-shaped chips were a creative touch. The dishes were all well-seasoned, with the fondue being a cheese lover's dream. The steak was marinated perfectly and the beans were a standout. The guacamole on top of the enchiladas was delicious. For dessert, we tried the chocolate flan with a splash of rum, which was homemade and delicious. These small touches truly set Don Camote apart, but the five-star food is what makes it a great dining experience overall. It was a fantastic night.
We were thrilled to discover this hidden gem located near Broadway and 37th Street last night! Despite not having a liquor license yet, we still had a fantastic time. Upon arriving, we found the place empty, so we took a seat in a corner and were promptly handed the menu. We began with a glass of sangria and some guacamole, then decided to share a grilled steak quesadilla, two chicken tinga tacos, and a carne asada taco. Everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful, so we couldn't resist ordering a chicken tinga quesadilla to finish off the night. The sauces were delicious and all the ingredients just melted in our mouths. I didn't even need to add salt, which is rare for me! We are looking forward to returning once they start serving margaritas. See you in the summer, Don Camote!
Don Camote is a little restaurant hidden on the side streets of Astoria. I really like the Mexican decor, pictures and overall vibe of the place. The cafe de olla is on point, definitely wakes you up. The cheese fondue with chorizo came with handmade tortillas for dipping and was delicious to share. I got the chorizo bacon omelette, very flavorful. I will definitely be back for brunch and dinner!
