Definitely the Sandwich King ! Service is friendly, welcoming and efficient. Quality meats and cheeses to satisfy your deli cravings! Will definitely buy again.
The largest and tastiest sandwich in New York. Quality and quantity. Five stars absolutely
The legendary deli in Astoria lives up to the hype! Order the bomb and you won’t be disappointed!
Sal, Kris Charlie’s Deli “The True Sandwich King” I was on the hunt for a great deli and stumbled into Sal, Kris Charlie’s and let me just say, this place lives up to the hype. If your hungry , It’s everything you want in a classic New York deli and more. The sandwiches are massive seriously, one could feed two hungry guys or four lighter eaters easily. So many combos to choose from, but I went with the “Italian Combo” and their signature “Da Bomb” sandwich. Both were packed with flavor, piled high with cold cuts, and built perfectly from top to bottom. The bread was spot on crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and held everything together like a champ. I added sweet and hot peppers, plus a little vinegar , salt, and pepper, and it all came together to make a perfectly balanced, flavor packed sandwich. The service was fast and efficient, even with a line, and the vibe was exactly what you’d want from an old-school Queens deli. This place isn’t just good it’s the Sandwich King, no question. If you’re in the area and even slightly hungry, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won’t leave disappointed. Update: I have to unfortunately put the rating low cause both my friend and I got food poisoning after having their sandwiches. It is a hot summer now, so be careful when eating cold food! I hope they make sure their cleaning and health issues in their environment! Absolutely a “sandwich king!” spot. Huge portion with good price. Definitely a loved place on a working day. Staff were nice. CASH ONLY. Tried the famous Bomb and ordered another simple one with only coppa. Personally, I would go simple (like one meat) to taste the flavor. The bomb was crazy, they gave a lot of meat. But it was “too much happening” in my mouth, hard to taste the flavors of the ingredients. However, it was for sure the best on a day you wanna crave. Spicy coppa was delicious, again the meat layer was thick. Just add ingredients u like to make into a good sandwich. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
