Contribute FeedbackNestled in a bustling area, this restaurant has experienced a significant decline under new management. Patrons report exorbitant prices for mediocre food, such as $20 per pound for stale tuna and $16 for a basic lox bagel, contributing to a reputation for being overpriced. Complaints about the staff's attitude are frequent, with rude interactions and a lack of understanding causing frustration among customers. The cleanliness of the establishment has also come into question, alongside unsettling encounters with homelessness nearby. While a few dishes, like the everything bagel, are well-received, the overall sentiment indicates a need for substantial improvements to service and quality.
Went there to get to orange juices for me and my daughter. Since new management took over place has fallen. Workers do not speak English and do not understand orders, they are all over the place with no manager or owner in sight and no control theyseem all over the place and have no idea what they?re doing. Got asked 4 times what I ordered and there were only 3 people totalin the store. Frustrating experience. There are better breakfast options on Austin. Most likely will not come back.
Since new management took over place has fallen. Got veggie tuna and it had no taste. Workers are all over the place with no manager or owner in sight and no control they seem all over the place and have no idea what they?re doing. Got asked 4 timeswhat I ordered and there were only 3 people total in the store. Price is a little more than some of the others but that wouldn?tmatter if everything else wasn?t so bad. It?s nice to have new things in store with a renovation but with poor management, worker quality, lack of care for food taste it?s not worth it.
Best bagels in forest hills and they?ve got an amazing new fresh juice bar. Staff are always super friendly too!
I was so disappointed from previous visits over the decades. First thing I noticed odd was there was no long line out the door. No Bialys in stock either, which never happens. Whitefish salad is darker in color now and the taste is off? almostrancid as if they?re using old fish. For $29/lb I?m not about to buy it again to see that it?s still noxious. Under the oldmgmt. if you spent $100 you got a free challah. Not anymore. New manager barked. ?New Owner. Nothing free. You buy? What usedto be a favorite place to shop for a Sunday Brunch is now off my radar.
