3.5 stars. I really liked their birria soup but way too much for a single person. Prices (tacos, birria soup) are pretty expensive. I don't think I'd go back. There are food trucks that are better in terms of price and food quality a few blocks away.
I paid $14 for a regular nachos with meat and received only 8 pieces of tortilla chips with a heavy amount of lettuce in the middle.
I am constantly searching for good tacos in the city, and these ones definitely rank high on my list. At $4 each (including guacamole!), the price can't be beat compared to other places I have tried in Manhattan. Adding quesillo is an extra dollar. The house-made juices and horchata are also always a win in my opinion.
I've been coming here since 2005 I brought so many peoples to this restaurant and I've always recommended the place food been good and prices been kinda high for the area but it was worth it because of the food, And believe me when I'm leaving this review it hurts me cuz I really enjoy the food but last time I went with my family 4 peoples we ate the lady came to check on us 1 time and that was because they forgot to get me my tortillas and my kids drinks so I had to go ask the lady for the rest of my order, however I asked for the bill and the bill is crazy the expensive when I looked at it I noticed a 20 dollars for service! Like really!? Im like you didn't even offered me water! you guys straight up scamming peoples with this, and the manager can't even explained the fee and not like I wasn't going to tip the person even tho is was a shitty service! It was because I brought my son and daughter with us that you charged me? This actions made me feel like this is not a family friendly. Smh !
I ordered a to-go taco and it exceeded my expectations! As a vegetarian, it can be tough to find flavorful tacos, but this one was fantastic. Packed with guacamole and more reasonably priced than other places in the city, though not the cheapest option. The restaurant's spacious and cozy interior was not too loud or crowded, so I would definitely return to dine in and sample other dishes.
Food here is pretty good and service when I went was quick and friendly. There is complimentary chips and salsa. I had the al pastor, carnitas, and lengua tacos as well as a tamarindo drink. The prices have gone up. It is now $4-5 per taco but they are packed with meat and comes with guacamole on top. Two is enough to be filling. I was stuffed with three. My favorite was the lenga. I thought the al pastor was a little too salty but not bad. Didn't see any pineapples though. I wasn't too fond of the tamarind drink. A bit too salty and tangy for me. Paying in cash gives a slight discount.
