Poor quality over priced. Service A1, but food clearly disappointing. Do not recommend, unless too drunk to enjoy good food!
This was purported to be a very good steak house. Well, other than the hostess, it was a bomb! The waitress couldn’t give us the time of day, didn’t care with what we had to comment on and seemed rushed it wasn’t hat busy. The food was so so t beat; my wife’s 6 Oz filet looked and tasted like a hamburger patty and was about as thick as one. Waitress says “oh, ok”. I don’t think there was a language issue. The rest of the gangs food was mediocre at best. I would not recommend.
It isn’t my kind of place. Waitress didn’t speak English so became the translator for my partner. It is dark to create an ambiance. I wouldn’t go back but that just me.
The prime rib was heavenly, and so was the old fashioned. But my filet mignon was so charbroiled all I tasted was charcoal. Ambiance is good, service was slow, but we were fore warned, short staffed, which I appreciated.
I had the table d'hôte (soup, main course and dessert). The broccoli cream was good, hot enough and not too much salty. The rare filet mignon was absolutely delicious and with the pepper sauce it was a perfect match. The mashed potatoes and vedgetables were also very nice. The caramel cream was also very good, but I didn't get why they put Social Tea biscuits on it. Our waitress was charming and always there when we needed her. I know this place has moved a while ago, but I still miss when it was easier to get there without a car.

Had dinner with my husband on our trip to Quebec Ambiance was wonderful, quiet with lovely horseshoe shaped red booths.
A deux pas de l'autoroute A40, ce restaurant est une bonne surprise !'Excellente viande de boeuf, cuite parfaitement avec un petite sauce bien agreable.Personnellement je me suis régalé mais c'est un peu cher...'Bonne adresse
VERY VERY good. When you find a good restaurant 400 miles from home...you stay with it. 3 supper meals were experienced. The fish and chips were good...as no grease on the papers ...even after finishing the fish. The New York steak was VERY good. I had it all 3 times. :) The plate was HEATED...so steak stayed at least warm until i finished ALL of it. A nice treat...not always available. A free bread/butter plate also accompanies the meal. Did I mention they speak ENGLISH. This is NOT always the case in Quebec City.
On the last day in Quebec City before flying home, we decided to just go to a neighbourhood restaurant close to our hotel, instead of driving back to Old Quebec City looking for parking and chancing not getting a table in a good French restaurant. We had dinner at Restaurant Rascal before (the hotel gave us a coupon), walking distance from our hotel. On the last night before our departure we celebrated with salmon tartar and baked potatoes and veggies (no more frites) --- it was very good, almost as good as my favorite restaurant in Paris (café de marche) and my husband had filet mignon and clam chowder. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and service and enjoyed ourselves tremendously.
