After reading multiple reviews, we decided to dine at Echaude in Quebec City. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the dining experience. The outdoor area was closed, and the tables indoors were too close together, making conversations distracting. The food received mixed reviews, with some finding it to be over salted and overpriced, while others enjoyed specific dishes such as the scallops and ice cream desserts. The service varied, with some guests experiencing terrible service and others receiving attentive and friendly service. Despite the mixed reviews, some guests found the wine selection to be excellent and overall enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. Located in a convenient tourist area, Echaude offers good value for the money, but individual experiences may vary.

I had an incredible meal! First and foremost, make sure to sit at the bar. The service from Alexis was outstanding. We started with the goat cheese appetizer and the beef tartare appetizer, both of which were delicious. The potato gnocchi, paired with mushrooms and shrimp in lobster sauce, was fantastic. For dessert, we enjoyed a white chocolate dome with strawberries. I'm not usually a fan of white chocolate, but I absolutely loved it. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience!
The best beer tartare in Québec, without a doubt. It's one of the finest I've ever tasted. They have an excellent selection of wines, and the staff is both professional and friendly. This is my go-to spot in Québec; it never disappoints!
We visited the restaurant for an after-dinner drink with our family and were really taken by the welcoming atmosphere and the friendly service. My wife and I returned for dinner the next night, and despite the bustling crowd, Wilson and the team made us feel like their top priority. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding.

The service terrific, the food over salted. The wine overpriced, and the bar served the wrong appetif after we had tried to clarify what we wanted. Then forgot to remove it from the bill. Not worth the hype. Try Louise down the block and across the street.
