Just love going to Vic's meat market ,They will cut the meat how you ask them to .And a fantastic range at very very competitive prices . Stunning sausages and such a range .I sometimes get them to seal my meat in plastic so that I can freeze it for a later date ...Never a problem . View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Vic's Meat Market:
After reading the previous reviews I was really looking forward to this & travelled out from the City. The butchery looks like it has great meat & selection, however the BBQ was a huge disappointment, my wagu burger was almost cold & felt like it was competing with a Maccas cheese burger that cost $12, my wifes bisket sandwich was over powered by the coleslaw and it lost any smoked flavour - should have visited the s... We went predominantly to Sydney fish market which we all enjoyed. However I couldn't resist going across to Vic's as I feel it's important the kids learn what they eat and where it comes from a lot of the time in the UK the food is all pre packed and you pick it off a shelf. The guy we saw today was brilliant, so informative, the boys really enjoyed it. He showed them part of the carcass from the freezer and what was fat, what cut of meat was sirloin and fillet and the fillet is the most tender. In real terms how big the Angus was and that because of the size it can't easily be kept whole. He also introduced them to the fact that we can eat goat, even though it can be tough but needs to be in a casserole but it can take on a lot of flavours. So now the kids want to try goat! The steaks were so fresh and big too, and if I could've I would've brought some back to be cooked!

I ordered the beef brisket but didn't realise it came with coleslaw. That's fine but there was so much it was hard to taste the brisket.
My coworker and I came in right before they were closing and they literally opened everything back up just for us.The staff was completely knowledgeable on all the meats and seeing the quality I wasn't surprised they've won the awards and recognition they have.Any of the wagyu is highly recommended and is top marbling quality. Prices are inline with the quality and I'm only sad I didn't find this place on my previous 2 visits to Sydney! Better late than never you won't regret anything you buy here and they vacuum seal for foreigners who want to take some home with them.I will definitely be back and very highly recommend!!
We were introduced to Vic's thanks to Mauve O'Meara's food safari on a lovely Sunday in May. we met the butchers and were shown how really cook a steak. Our purchases included two smokey beef pies, which we cooked at home. WOW is all i can say, and i am sorry Maggie Beer your pie has slipped to one spot to 2.
