We had the most delicious, flaky, lili koi cream-filled croissant EVER. Really cute little store, some local art jewelry pieces, clean. very pleasant cashier. I will dream about that croissant!! way better than a malasada. View all feedback.
The true gem of this place is the people. We stayed in Haiku for the first 5 days of our Maui vacation and it was the best. Our VRBO was right down the street from Jaws Country Store and we went every morning. The coffee is the best and latte was perfect (not too sweet). They have amazing empanadas. The store inside sells rad, not kitschy items. The gal inside the store and the guy at the food window were warm, friendly and welcoming. The spot is great to grab something to eat and sit down for a bit. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

Stopped here on the Road to Hana as it looked interesting but nothing inside was of interest to us unfortunately.
Seems no one has reviewed this place recently. We stopped by on our way back to the airport from Hana. If we’d known it ranked 5th out of 6 places in Haiku, we probably wouldn’t have stopped. Nonetheless, we smelled the smoke from the kitchen and thought we would give it a try. We’re pretty critical diners, and we found the brisket sandwiches to be surprisingly good. While we wouldn’t suggest a detour for this place, if you’re near it when you need a stop, it’s solid.
We arrived on Maui on a Saturday and planned our drive to Hana for Sunday morning, knowing we'd all be up really early. We left our rental home a little after 5am and despite promising my parents a stop for coffee, we kept on driving, as nothing was open yet! Luckily, we saw a sign for this little place and kept an eye out and were happy to see they were open! My parents both bought coffee and my family purchased canned juices and a loaf of monkey bread. Everything was tasty and appreciated at that time of morning on a Sunday before our long drive!
