Reviews - Thai Ginger
Reviews summary
Thai Ginger offers a mixed dining experience that balances ambiance and flavor. While its dimly lit, somewhat outdated decor provides a private atmosphere, some dishes leave room for improvement. The generous portion sizes of popular items, like pad Thai and various curries, are appreciated, though inconsistencies in flavors were noted, with some dishes lacking seasoning. The service is generally satisfactory, though there have been occasional complaints about staff responsiveness. Many diners rave about the restaurant's ability to accommodate vegan options and consistently praise the delicious food, with notable recommendations including fried prawns, mango sticky rice, and flavorful curries.

My friends and I decided to give this restaurant a try, hoping for some delicious Thai curry. We were not let down. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who hails from Northern Thailand. The dishes were authentically Thai, the restaurant was clean, and the portions were quite generous. I opted for the mild Pineapple Curry with Chicken, and it was just perfect for my taste. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and our food arrived promptly.
My girlfriend and I were on a road trip to Palouse to see the rolling hills. We decided to stop at this restaurant for lunch. The atmosphere was dim and gave off a creepy vibe similar to a horror movie. There were no other customers there and it was quite dark inside with no music playing. Despite the good food, the spooky atmosphere really put a damper on the overall experience.
Ordered the sizzling 1/2 duck. It came out all chopped up and excessively dry. Like a dried up piece of liver. The manager came to the table and said if I don’t pay him, he can’t pay for food. He says they order the food already cooked in bags and they reheat it to serve it. They have no control of how well done the food is since they don’t make it. He refuses to remake an order for me, he refused to take it off my bill and told me I have to pay or he doesn’t get paid. This place is GROSS!!!! ? let alone the horrible service! 25.99 for this plate.
Way over priced and the food has kinda gone down hill sorry but used to love this place but kinda disappointing now.
Came here after my sister’s graduation from WSU. The restaurant wasn’t full but it took about 10 minutes to get seated and another 10 minutes before we even got our drink orders placed. In their defense there was only 1 server and I think 1 person in the back cooking. It looks a little sketchy inside but the food was delicious.

We ordered Pad Thai, Red Curry, and a beef dish. The Red Curry was very nice. The Pad Thai was average... Beef dish was okay.
What’s a little yellow curry among friends? Thai Ginger has ascended to stratospheric levels of love among the Landis family. Need a birthday or anniversary present? Gift card time! Whenever I drive through Pullman, I must fight the urge to pull up. I lose this fight every time. FYI Thai Ginger before the apple cup hits extra hard
I visited this restaurant a few months ago and didn't have a phone at the time. I wanted to let you know how wonderful our visit was and how delicious the food is. Thank you!

We went for Father's Day dinner and everyone loved the curries. The pork spring rolls were the perfect size for the appetizer. The mango fried rice was amazing, very generous serving size.
This restaurant is amazing! The portions are generous and definitely worth the price. I have been dining here since 2011 and it is still my favorite place to eat. I highly recommend trying the Pineapple Curry and Phad Thai - they are delicious!
The restaurant offers delicious food and is conveniently located near a free public parking lot. While the exterior of the building may not be impressive, the interior is clean and the service is excellent. In my opinion, it is the top spot for Thai cuisine in Pullman. I highly recommend trying the beef panang curry.
So, you are looking for fresh, tasty and fresh with great service to boot? This is your place. Since 2011 we have made Thai Ginger our ‘go-to’ for Asian cuisine. We have tried them all within the region and Thai Ginger always wins out. The owner/operators are always friendly, efficient and they always get the order right. We still find ways to get there from 2 hours away!

We had a great meal at this restaurant! We informed the staff that we wanted our dishes to be vegan before placing our order. They mentioned that only the pad thai and any curry dishes could be made vegan. We enjoyed a delicious pad thai with fried tofu and a flavorful yellow curry also with fried tofu. The avocado fresh rolls were a hit as well. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant more often. It's wonderful to have these vegan options available in town!

The food was fantastic! We informed the staff that we wanted vegan options, and they mentioned that they could make the pad thai and any curry vegan. We enjoyed the pad thai with roasted tofu and the yellow curry with roasted tofu. The avocado fresh rolls were also delicious. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant more often. It's wonderful to have such great vegan options available in town!
The restaurant experience was great. We informed the staff that we wanted vegan options before ordering, and they said they could make the pad thai and any curry vegan. We tried the pad thai with fried tofu and yellow curry with fried tofu, both of which were amazing, especially for Pullman standards. However, the pad thai may have been a bit lacking in flavor, while the curry was delicious. It was clear that the curry was vegan, but there may have been confusion with the pad thai earlier regarding the egg. During this visit, the male cook took my order for vegan pad thai and it was indeed vegan. It seems there was a misunderstanding in a previous visit. I will definitely be returning to enjoy more vegan options in the city! (Updated review on 2021-10-26)
