Harvey's Engineering Café - Provo
Harvey's Engineering Café
Description
A handy on-campus café near the engineering building delivers tasty, grab-and-go breakfast and lunch options—standout sandwiches and breakfast items—with friendly service and a rotating menu that suits busy students and engineers. Amenities include gelato, paninis, tater tots, and a Coke Freestyle. Criticisms center on inconsistent posted hours, limited low-cost/customization choices, small gelato portions and a disliked fry-sauce offering. With clearer signage and more reliable hours, it could be an even better campus staple.

The food they make tastes wonderful, but they need more low cost options for students (even their tater tots are expensive! . Also, they are often closed during the hours they say they are open.
This café is a fantastic addition to dining on campus. It offers a grab-and-go service with a rotating menu that changes throughout the week, which is perfect for engineers like me. I'm not entirely sure of the current schedule for available items, but I believe there's a system in place. The breakfast sandwich I had was fantastic and quite affordable. I'm looking forward to trying more of their offerings!
I visited Harvey's Cafe for breakfast at 8:30 AM, located at the southwest end of the new engineering building. I ordered the Hawaiian French Toast, which consisted of four half slices served with a delicious coconut syrup. They offer a selection of items available in the morning, but don’t hesitate to ask if you can’t find something on the regular menu. I had a lovely conversation with the staff, and they were happy to answer my random questions with a smile. Overall, a delightful experience!
Located conveniently on the southeast side of the campus, this restaurant offers a delightful experience. The California Chicken Sandwich is both delicious and generously filled. I particularly enjoyed the crispy papers. If you're a fan of fry sauce, you can easily create your own by mixing packets of mayo and ketchup. The drink selection is impressive, featuring both Coke Freestyle machines and bottled beverages. I can't wait to try the gelato on my next visit! One suggestion would be to add a "start here" sign near the pickup or beverage cooler to help guide customers.
