Horrid service.. After doing a healthy amount of research on where to eat in Providence during my stay there, I decided on Chez Pascal. While i found the food to be, for the most part very good, I was completely put off by the service. During our entire meal, our waiter was very gruff and short with us, at times talking down to us. Additionally, we were rushed through every course, and the check was laid down on the table before we were halfway through dessert. Now it's possible that it was a reflection of his preconceptions of our age, or perhaps that after Restaurant Week he was tired and frustrated, or any number of other preconceptions, but we will not be back to...read more

The place has a very European menu and ambiance but inexplicably sells art AND Baseball caps and operates a sausage truck. The highlight of the night was the local pork of the day which happened to be a flavoured and delicious pork chop and the dessert for which we chose the tasting of three French custards. Will definitely be going back to try the different appetizers.
