Tokyo - Providence
Tokyo
Description
A comprehensive review of the restaurant Tokio reveals a mixed bag of opinions. While some customers praise the quality of sushi and variety of choices at a reasonable price, others express disappointment in the overall experience. Complaints range from poor service, chipped dishware, and a general lack of cleanliness to a rude atmosphere and unresponsive management. On the positive side, some diners enjoyed specific menu items like the Italy roll and appreciated the traditional Japanese decor and prompt service. Ultimately, it seems that the restaurant's reputation may depend on individual experiences and preferences, making it a somewhat risky choice for diners seeking a consistently excellent dining experience.

I just finished lunch. I typically frequent a sushi restaurant on the east side, but today I decided to try this one. The sushi here is decent, but nothing exceptional, and the prices are a bit on the higher side.
Sushi was okay, but the service was terrible. not only is it dirty to look inside, all the waitress stares at you. it's like they make a picture, why not? it was also smelly in there, how old feet healed. the plates and cuts were all chipped. from any reason the waiters laughed so loud, stared at us, made us feel so unpleasant that we had to get up a holiday. definitiw found it a very rude atmosphere. whether his byob or not, it looks like a complete bomb was going out on this site, can not believe that they actually still open and open to the public.
Loved the Italy roll with white tuna inside and out. Nice selection of fish enjoyed having bonito, uni and ama ebi on my first visit. Since it's in my hood, I'm sure there will be more meals to come. Btw, no problem whatsoever with service.y water was refilled promptly, the dishes came quickly even though the restaurant was full of Valentine's Day diners and the bill was presented only after someone ce to check to see if I'd had enough to eat or wanted dessert. On the atmosphere, all I can say is Tokoyo is very traditional. The sushi nigiri comes in boats, there are rice paper screens and red Japanese lateens that provide a nice subdued, but not dark, interior for the two dozen tables...read more
