My friend Jimmy took me to this place, and I really enjoyed it. The decor and music were just right, creating a nice atmosphere. The waitstaff and bartenders were fantastic—very friendly and welcoming. The Henny wings were delicious and crispy, and the drinks were spot-on. However, the chicken and waffles were just okay. The chicken was a bit overcooked and dry, though the waffle was quite good. The chipotle could have used a bit more seasoning for added flavor. Overall, it was a pleasant experience!
Saje Kitchen is a great! Went for dinner and drinks. Tamara (waitress) gave us fantastic suggestions. We opted for the Creamy Cajun Pasta. It did not disappoint, it was delicious. The drinks were also phenomenal. The ambiance was great and the staff was was very friendly. Even though it was quite busy, Tamara seated us pretty quickly and our food and drinks were also served fairly quickly.
To make matters worse, we weren't provided with menus or proper seating for our group of three, and I had to ask for napkins and utensils. When I requested salt and pepper, I received a small container with both mixed together instead of traditional shakers. As for the food, it looked appealing, but the flavors fell short. The grits were unevenly cooked, and the shrimp in my dish was overly salty. Additionally, there were very few vegan options on the menu. The fish tacos had potential but lacked heat and balanced seasoning. Overall, it felt like the staff did not want to be there and lacked experience. Despite my love for dining out and enjoying other restaurants in the area, I don’t think I will return to Saje. It’s unfortunate, and though I wasn’t inclined to leave a tip due to the service, I still ended up leaving one.
It was my first time with my family visiting a new place to dine in Providence. Celebrating Mothers Day. I was extremely excited , however, I must say the customer service was lacking , our waitress stood from behind, not visible to parties at the table, unable to know who she was speaking to, then gently nudge me from behind to let me know she was speaking to me regarding myorder. Maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t appreciate that and surprised at how she attempted to get my attention for my order. No menu or seating was set up, for party of 3, had to ask for menu, napkins and utensils. Requested salt and pepper, received asmall container with both salt and pepper mixed in. Shakers? Food looked good , but personally the taste/ seasoning wasn’t fulfilled . Grits, wasn’t evenly cooked, shrimp on my dish was salty. Not much vegan options available. “Fish” tacos couldof hit the spot if it had a little heat and balanced seasoning. Just felt like no one working this day, wanted to be there andhad no experience. As much as I enjoy dinning out and have dined in nearby restaurants. I won’t be returning to Saje. Sad tosay I didn’t even want to leave a tip, however, a tip was left.
It’s always nice and clean in here. A little too loud but some people like that. They keep switching up how the interior looks every time I come and the menus always different as well which is fun to always try new things but also a little sad if you werelooking for one thing you had before. It’s kinda pricey but everything is really good. Hard to park around the area as wellbut there’s plenty of valet etc
