The pizza at Pizza Marvin is outstanding, particularly the Pepperoni slice. The Roni Island pizza is equally delicious. The wings are amazing, and the Weenie Fries, a Rhode Island specialty, are a must-try dish on their own.
Is this the best pizza in the world? I can’t say for certain, but it’s definitely the best I’ve ever tasted. During my two days in Providence, I visited twice. The burrata pizza by the slice is exceptional. The pesto was incredibly flavorful, and the crust truly stands out. The cocktails and soft serve were also fantastic. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
During our overnight stay in Providence, we decided to get pizza the next day. I also tried one of the best cakes I’ve ever had during that time. The pizza featured a simple dough, sauce, and toppings, all baked in a wood-fired oven. We chose basil and ricotta for our toppings.
This is the best pizza in Rhode Island and competes strongly with the top pizzas in New York City. The owner, Robert, was warm and welcoming. We especially loved the square slices. Enjoying our meal in Marvin's garden—my favorite piece from Monopoly—was a delightful experience, made even better by the fantastic playlist.
Let’s share my experience at Marvin, which I visited for the first time after traveling 30 miles. I ordered pizza and wings, and I was hoping for a bit more flavor from the wings. Overall, I found the pizza to be significantly better, though I was disappointed that, for a $33 pizza with $16 worth of toppings, I only got 1 or 2 pepperonis per slice. Initially, I was let down by the lack of pepperoni, but the flavor made up for it. The crust was fantastic—great crunch with no flop at all, definitely the highlight of the pizza. The cheese coverage was decent, although it was a bit light on the sauce, which wasn't a dealbreaker. I can understand why some consider this one of the better pizza places in the area; the taste is definitely there, but it's not the very best, especially given the price. Some might find this combination a bit on the salty side.
