Nami - Providence
Nami
Description
Numi has received mixed reviews from diners. While some found the atmosphere and food disappointing, others had a great experience. Those who were disappointed cited issues with undercooked shrimp, mushy eel rolls, and rancid oil. On the positive side, the omakase experience was highly praised, with fresh, delicious sushi and attentive staff. The restaurant also caters well to vegans, offering a variety of veggie rolls beyond the usual options. Overall, Numi seems to cater well to sushi enthusiasts looking for a unique dining experience, but may not be the best choice for those seeking a traditional sushi meal.

Vegan aware staff and owner. Great veggie rolls well past your normal avocado and cucumber roll. Think pickled daikon : . Of course the edamame is excellent and plentiful too.
I did the omakase experience and it was amazing! The staff was great and super accommodating! It was the best sushi I’ve ever had. Every course was very fresh. I will definitely be back to do this experience again!Food: 5/5
This is our favorite sushi in RI. We’ve been to the others and this is the best. It’s absolutely gorgeous and the sushi is delicious. The rolls are so fresh and you can taste the quality. We always have great service and the price is right too. Highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: Our kids love it! The Shirley Temples are great and sometimes they even make our kids works of art using eel sauce. :
Food coming out of kitchen was slow, especially given number of patrons in restaurant.
If you’re looking for an intimate atmosphere with good drinks and appetizers then this is the place for you. I came here with a friend and we enjoyed our time here. The waitress was attentive and the restaurant was clean. As far as the food is concerned, our favorite thing was the beef negimaki appetizer! It was scrumptious and we could’ve eaten 2-3 of these plates easily! The sushi was also fine and the noodle plates were also good.
