India
Description
India restaurant offers a beautiful ambiance that surpasses most Indian restaurants, with friendly and helpful service staff. The Mango Lassi is decent, while the Chicken kebab and Lamb Biryani received negative reviews for being hard and greasy, respectively. The Naan did not feel fresh and the Chicken Tikka Masala was just okay. Overall, the dining experience was disappointing for some guests. However, others have praised the restaurant for its lively atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. Vegan options are clearly labeled and highly recommended by some patrons. The restaurant also offers unique dishes like the PEPPERED DUCK in tamarind curry. Free henna and consistent quality and taste of the food make India a favorite among regulars, who have never left unsatisfied. It is considered the best Indian restaurant in town by many customers.

As you can see from the photos, this restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I had reserved a seat by the fireplace which was so cozy on a damp, cold, New England day. There is a large selection of food and drinks to choose from. I got theThali feast which consisted of a kale and cucumber salad, garlic naan, rice and two sauces. One was sweet and the other was tomato based. It comes with three sides so I ordered chicken, steak and lamb kabobs. I found it a little difficult to understandmy server but she got the job done and was very friendly. This is my second visit to this restaurant and I will definitely comeback again to sample more of the menu.
India is one of Providence's best restaurants in general and a cultural gem for the city. The atmosphere, lighting, and general feel of the setting is perfect to match their menu. Service was excellent, very helpful in catering to any special requests.Food was delicious as expected. Many seating options, inside and outside, the menu is very fairly priced for the quality of foodyou are getting. A great selection of cocktails and drinks to choose from, typically busy on weekend nights but they also havean in house Henna artist doing free henna work available to patrons, a great opportunity.
My best friend and I are regulars at this restaurant (both of us are vegan!), and it's one of my favorites. We adore everything about it—the atmosphere, the consistent quality of the food, and especially the exceptional service. Today, our server was Olga, and she was AMAZING! Every server we’ve encountered here has been fantastic. I can only speak positively about this place. No matter what day you visit, the food is ALWAYS consistent in flavor and quality. I have never left feeling dissatisfied. It's simply the BEST Indian food ever!
My new favorite spot for Indian cuisine! We had the choice of dining indoors or outdoors, and we opted for the patio since the lighting inside was a bit too dim for us. Our server was fantastic and very friendly. There are numerous vegan options available, and everything we tried was delicious. We enjoyed the veggie samosas, channa masala, zesty potatoes, korma with tofu, and naan—all were exceptional. The only reason we skipped dessert was that we were too full, but we'll definitely get some next time! The entrée prices were reasonable considering the portion sizes, so I would highly recommend this place.
I ordered the chicken kabob dinner, the tandoori chicken house special, and a half basket of garlic naan. Everything was delicious! I've never had a bad meal, service, or experience at this place. They even provide free henna, which is a lovely bonus. Without a doubt, this is the best Indian restaurant in Rhode Island!
