Really lovely little cafe in the main street of Proserpine. Quirky interior, great menu and very reasonable. The best coffee I've had in ages, and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend taking the time to leave the highway to visit for a break. It must be consistently good as while we were there they were doing a great trade with lots of locals. Travelled a thousand kilometres and looked forward to morning coffee at Cafe 22 where we stopped last year. No friendly smiles from staff. Girl who took the order may have lost her best friend. Pile of scones looked fresh. Ordered 2 at $3 each to have with the coffee. Whilst travelling through the Proserpine area on a recent road trip, we stopped in Proserpine for a lunch break. We asked a local for a recommendation for a nice coffee and lunch. Café 22 was the answer. We were happy with the service and the fresh food we ordered. From our observations, it seems to be a very popular café in Proserpine. We would certainly revisit.
This place is recommended by the locals. Eclectic atmoshere, old world feel. Delicious food, smoothies and coffee.
Just had lunch here and wow it was delicious. One of the best curries ever and my H.A.R.T (haloumi avo rocket tomato) Turkish with balsamic glaze was sooo good. Great coffee, amazing fruit juices. Delicious and very healthy menu. Everything tasted so fresh and up to a standard you would expect a 5-star restaurant in a big city to be. An amazing surprise in a small country town.
