Prince of Wales Hotel - Proserpine

In recent years due to the cyclone and of course COVID-19 the city proserpine certainly suffered a lot. it is refreshing to see this old hotel is an upgrade with the renovation of the kitchen and it area very beautiful. what is the...value added is the kitchen that it has upgraded itself, and I would suggest that most proserpine people have welcomed a new kitchen “Korea”. took the extended family there for Christmas dinner and it was excellent will be back again.

Order a pizza for collection. was quoted $22 for a bbq car lover, then calculated $24. I have argued with the lady about the citrate and she refused to move, so I paid it. it was on the menu as a chicken on the pizza, that. I didn't want to. she said she removed it, I said why I paid more, then I was quoted for then, no answer. I opened the box in restaurant, absolutelyley shameful, as per photos should it only for the fact that my daughter finished work and I needed it. $24 I could buy 3 in the super market better than that. They used to have great pizzas before the takeover, never again pow, disgusting!. opened the box and picked it up. I don't know where you are.

Great room, beer, Christian was brill with the **** mary’s, Korean dinner was great as well as management, will stay again. many thanks.

That was divine. we were recommended to go here to eat and eating was by far the best Asian style ever eaten. when they go through proserpine, eat them here! You won't regret it.

Took three days to decide to do this, don't normally do reviews but just, wow. Last time we were through travelling from Mackay this place was an absolute must after a bit of a shop at Colour Me Crazy. Not sure what's happened. The Chefs...that were there last time were nowhere to be seen and the Chef cooking tonight should probably hand back his certificate. Young staff seemed very flustered and badly directed. Waited 20mins at the bar for a drink, pretty sure hubby got the wrong beer but it was cheap at least! Food took a long long while to come out. Chicken Schnitzel was dark/near burned outside and salmonella level raw in the middle. Sauce was about 3 tablespoons in a hospital medicine cup. Our meals came out at separate times and a very intrusive gentleman (Manager? Waiter Came over constantly asking us about everything then seemed to ignore our answers. Fire alarm went off. Unsurprised at this point. Tried to get a second drink, gave up. Made a complaint and was pretty much shrugged off with a muttered sorry. Such a stark difference from the past beautiful service and food. Also menu is scribbled all over and sticky taped over until you can only order half of what's on there and even then it's Russian roulette at the counter whether you will get it. Hopefully they read this and take it as constructive criticism. Would love to see the place the way it was last time. Missing my Thai Beef Salad.
