Bocado - Prince Edward
Bocado
Description
Nestled in the heart of Picton, this restaurant has garnered praise for its exceptional tapas and standout dishes like the Wagyu special and melt-in-your-mouth octopus. Diners delight in the vibrant flavors and creative pairings, particularly the Churro Ice Cream dessert. While some found the atmosphere lively—occasionally too noisy for conversation—the attentive staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. Although the cocktail offerings may leave something to be desired, the reasonable prices and delectable food make this eatery a must-visit for anyone seeking a special night out. Reservations are recommended, especially on busy occasions.

We were seated at a table near a large group at the back of the restaurant. Considering our difficulty in hearing each other (given our age), we requested to be moved. The staff was extremely accommodating and rearranged tables for us in the front of the restaurant, which is larger and better at absorbing noise. We really appreciated their help.
So delicious, our fav local place for a culinary treat, only negative was that the room was so noisy it was hard to have a conversation at the normal voice level, we reserved the back room for this reason but it wasn't available to us when we arrived
The selection of tapas was outstanding, and the Wagyu special was equally impressive. The dessert, Churro Ice Cream, was simply fantastic. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food. While the cocktails were somewhat lackluster, the suggested wine pairings complemented the meal perfectly. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Bocado is definitely our go to special night out restaurant in Picton. Service is always great and pretty much everything we’ve ever ordered (been 4 times) has been delicious. Looking forward to going again soon.
