My family and I went here on a spate of the moment decision. I’ve never been to Allen’s prior to this visit as I would always drive into town. Now I know what everyone raves about. The food was amazing, the service was fantastic and everyone was very kind. Now I have my in-town Chinese place: View all feedback.
What John Homes doesn't like about Allen's Chinese:
Went for lunch last week and my son asked for a Dr. Pepper to go. The waitress brought him a empty cup with a lid. That is ridiculous to do. I guess drink cost to much. Cup and lid cost more than the drink. Her tip paid for the drink he had while we had lunch ?. View all feedback.
We love Allen's! Everything always delivers fresh, flavorful, and fast and so glad to have this as an option. Only complaint would be the crab dumplings. The recipe hasn't changed with the new ownership and thats been a little disappointing. Please provide us with something more flavorful and the traditional 4 corner Rangoon? All im tasting is cream cheese. Besides this, we love Allen's Chinese.
Allen's has always been an excellent restaurant with great food and service; however, they have changed owners or new management and they had serious issues with their system and tried to make me pay twice. They called their bank to verify that my card was approved, which took nearly 20 minutes. My food was cold. The takeout was not what I ordered. Overall, I would avoid this restaurant. Not the same! Hopefully they will make improvements, but I won't go back again!
Apparently there's new owners.. but still the same great food.. thanks to the staff who stayed on.
Ordered a takeaway, orange chicken… was so fake absolutely inedible. Hot and dour soup no spice no flavor. Chicken lettuce wraps disgusting, rice dry with all dishes. About as Chinese as me….absolutely awful I will not go again. Anyone who likes this place has never eaten Chinese food.
New Owners go out of their way to make sure everything done right! My kung Po Chicken it was like I was in San Francisco China town again.
