I visit the UP every December for my annual hunting trip. Every year the boys and I go to Redwood at least once. The food is consistently good and so is...

Great little Diner with small town friendliness. Have had Breakfast a few times and always loved it. Burgers are great too, but the homemade handcut fries are awesome. Nice place to relax and eat instead of the usual fast food rush and also to get that Retro-Diner Vibe!!! Slammer!!!

What a delightful little diner with fantastic food! Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when we were undecided about what to order. My mom had the pancakes and absolutely loved them. My sister enjoyed the chicken steak, which looked homemade, and the gravy was exceptional. I opted for a big burger, and the waitress was kind enough to serve it on her homemade grilled rye bread. I requested the burger cooked medium, and the chef did a wonderful job. I also had a cup of her homemade chicken soup. The meal was fantastic for me—juicy, flavorful burger and dumplings paired with tender chicken. Everything was made from scratch, nothing from a can. This place is a gem, and I could eat there every day! I've been to two diners in Seattle, and I can only say I'm fortunate this place isn't right next to me, or it would be tough competition! I can't wait to return!
