This is a great restaurant with friendly staff and a welcoming owner. The food is excellent and made with fresh ingredients. We enjoyed pizza, pasta, and vegetable soup, all of which were fantastic. The tea was also delicious. Despite being the only customers in the restaurant, we received excellent service. The view of the sunset over the hills surrounding Pushkar is superb, especially when enjoyed with a refreshing beer. We had a great meeting with the manager of the restaurant, who we fondly nicknamed "Keke". The pizzas made by his mother with chapati dough are truly unique and delicious. Beer is a rare find in Pushkar, so be sure to inform Keke in advance so he can organize it for you. Keke is a charismatic and passionate character who loves his region and religion. You won't regret meeting him. - Pierre-Alain and Daniel

A group of us visited the cafe last week as it was next door to our hotel. There was no one else there, as it's off-season. On entering, there were two men sat on their laptops/phones who worked there and I asked if they were still serving food, as the place was completely dead. They said yes of course, so we came in and sat down. One waiter told us that all the food will be made fresh so will take some time, but we were happy to wait a bit for fresh food. HOWEVER, what he didn't tell us was that "a bit of time" actually meant almost an hour after we had to make a complaint that we were getting tired of waiting. After complaining, the waiter brought one half of my order, so I ended up having to share that with the group as we waited for the rest of our food, even though I'd been hoping to mix it with the other half of my order (as it was veg rice). When the rest of the food turned up 15-20 minutes later, the waiter informed us that the dish one of my friends had ordered actually wasn't available and asked if she wanted something else!!! We couldn't believe that he had waited until the other food was ready to give us this information. Obviously we weren't prepared to wait for any new orders to arrive, which didn't even include the roti my other friend had ordered. We told the waiter we weren't happy and expected money off the bill. He told us that we wouldn't have to pay, which we understood as wouldn't have to pay AT ALL (it was all very confusing, as I think he was stoned). So when we went to walk out of the cafe, the other waiter stopped us and demanded that we pay for what we had eaten. We tried to explain that the other waiter had told us we wouldn't have to pay, bu he must have been talking about the food that hadn't arrived!!! The waiter kept making the excuse that we had been warned, that it was off-season, that the food had come and we had eaten it, but we were so furious that he wasn't prepared to give us any discount due to the lack of service. During our wait, he hadn't come over to check we were OK once, even though there was no one else in the restaurant. He argued with for for almost 10 minutes, after which I'd had enough and literally threw my money at him and stormed out. The whole experience made me so angry that I feel I should warn other travellers about it. I don't think it's acceptable to treat customers that way regardless of whether it's on or off-season, and rather than say there might be a "bit of a wait", they need to be clear you will be waiting over an hour for your food. Had we known that, we would have gone out for some instant street food instead and avoided sitting around wasting our evening. Being the only group in the entire cafe, it was extremely poor service, and I felt very disrespected by the staff.
You have to try their homemade hummus, coming from Israeli background they know all the secret recipes. It was the best hummus I've ever had! We also ordered pits bread and a green salad to make a whole meal. From the rooftop you can see great views of the city including the Brahma temple. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.
Real friendly staff, clean and at a good location. The food is good with a great menu. I loved the pancakes. Prices are affordable and the chairs real comfortable.
