Hostaria Del Borgo - Poschiavo

The BEST meal I have had in the last several months. You MUST order the CAPUNET di Mamma Agnese. Your taste buds will forever remember the taste of this wonderful homemade pasta. Homemade Gnocchi, spinach eggs, white flour, bread crumbs, cheese, hit butter, sage snd garlic. I wanted to kiss Mamma after this wonderful plate of greatness. The homemade tiramisu is also a must!.

We went to this restaurant based on trip advisor reviews and we had a wonderful lunch. They didn’t have an English menu so I am not sure what I had but it was delicious. My bill called it Capunet di Mama Agnese which was accompanied by a lovely wine and followed by tiramisu and expresso. Not only did everything taste wonderful but they also presented everything beautifully. This is a lunch we will remember for a long time.

We spent two nights in the lovely town of Poschiavo. Between the majesty of the Swiss Alps along the Bernina train route, the charm of the villages dotting the hillsides and valleys, and the great cuisine of the Valposchiavo region, we highly recommend this town. We had an unforgettable dinner in the downstairs cellar of the Hostaria del Borgo. There are many fantastic photos of the setting so I won't add mine. I will only add one menu photo and one picture of my Capunet Mamma Agnese entree a regional specialty that might be considered spinach gnocchi. It was so much more delicious than the picture can show piping hot and topped with toasted garlic and fried sage leaves. I had a wine paired with the entree that I loved (recommended by the server and was available by the glass) and wish I knew what is was. Very little English spoken which I also loved.

Super delicious food, great service and a very nice atmosphere. We love the Hostaria del Borgo and go back regularly. fully recommended, especially the Capunet is sooo amazing!!!!

This is a little cracker of a restaurant, tucked away from the main square, with a super selection of food, fast service and with delightful interior and outside seating. I would love to go back but we were just passing through. We had really great value salads nicely presented.
